Happy New Year to all of you beautiful people!!
Today we need to talk about the new year because as well all know the new year means what? Yep.. Resolutions. And this year I want you to go against the grain!
So many times when we start off the new year we obsess over all these goals we need to accomplish. We need to lose weight, we need to get on a diet, we need to get to the gym every day. We put so much effort into these things right off the bat and so often we fall off the wagon and here’s why….It’s because so often we are doing these things because we feel we have to. We are constantly bombarded by the diet industry, the fitness industry, and the like because they know they can cash in on this craze. They know you will spend lots of money on a diet plan and a new gym membership and all these other things to try and accomplish these resolutions and what’s even worse is they know you will fall off because these things don’t work they way they tell you they will and that you will end up right back here next year waiting to come back to them and give them your money again. They live for it. They profit off of your insecurity and your feeling that you are obligated to join this obsession when it is so clearly a failure waiting to happen. In fact the US Federal Trade Commission suggests that diets have a 98 percent failure rate meaning that 98% of people who give their money to the diet industry will be repeat customers at least once if not dozens of times. They thrive on this. They live for it and they want you to fail. Their bread and butter is promising you easy fast weight loss and then cashing in on the inevitable disappointment that you feel due to this failure.
The diet industry, the society of people who tells you that you are not good enough and those around you who constantly put you down for your looks… they are all full of shit. 100% Certified Horse Shit. And so are these New Years Weight Loss Resolutions.
So this year I want to start a new revolution and that is the revolution of the ANTI Resolution. In the spirit of anti resolutions here are the 5 Things to stop doing in 2019 to help further your self love journey and get back to being happy and healthy in your own way.
You are worth self love exactly as you are…
Not when you are 10, 20 or even 50 pounds lighter.
Not when you are going to the gym every day.
Not when you are eating as healthy as possible and sticking to your diet.
YOU ARE WORTH SELF LOVE NOW. And you always have been.
